Campaign: When Touch Matters

According to government records and media reports, there has been a significant increase in the number of sexual assault cases involving young children, both boys and girls. A disturbing aspect is that many of these assaults are perpetrated by family members or close friends.

Addressing such sensitive issues related to touch is still challenging for parents, making it difficult for them to have open discussions with their children. To tackle this problem, we initiated the #when touch matters campaign, aiming to raise awareness about Good and Bad touch among children of all genders. The campaign incorporates interactive sessions, including stories, poems, and activities, designed to empower children with the knowledge and skills to cope with such situations and emerge emotionally stronger.

Our efforts have been focused on schools in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand, where we successfully reached out to 27,000 children through this campaign. The credit for the campaign's success goes to the 15 dedicated changemakers who assisted us in sustaining and implementing this critical initiative.
